Named after Italian donuts, the design of BOMBOLINI is characterized by a longtime love for Italian mid-century interior design. 8 bold spheres, each subtracted by soft circle strokes in both plane and section create the composition.
The expression is curvy and grandiose yet feather soft, creating a flower-like shadow and thin sparkling rays of light breaking through its’ narrow voids.
It fits easily in old and new architectural environments and is beautifully mounted on both walls and ceilings.
Please note that each piece of plaster is poured in molds and retouched by hand: Small air bubbles are inevitable and part of the tactile human touch. The gypsum and porcelain parts can be installed as they are - or painted to suit any specific surroundings. Further layers of painting will cover up some of the air bubbles and traces of sanding.
